Post oncological visit update

Saw oncologist yesterday. She said let’s stay the course for now and just keep treating medically and keep eye on things. Doesn’t suggest surgery on liver now — too much disease to ‘safely’ remove and just not worth it. We will keep treating until/if things change or get worse. If/when they do, we can look into liver embolization then.

She’s sending me for some labs (doing these now) and to their dermatologist — I have a lot of these itchy patches that have been driving me nuts so they are gonna take a look and maybe biopsy them.

So how do I feel about this??? Good question.

Kind of a double edged sword.  This was the path we chose….  Dont go aggressive on my liver and ride the treatment tide until we can’t…. There will just come a time when things change for the bad and we can’t predict or know when that will be….   On the other side….  I could have had a bunch of surgeries and the tumors could keep coming back anyway….. So im indifferent…. The situation sucks, will continue to suck and kill me one day, but that day is not today or next years 😉.     The positives are it’s slow, the treatment appears to be working (to stabilize, it won’t cure) …..and I get a break from surgery for a while so I will take it!!

Thx for the continued support ❤️. Keep you all posted on my blood test results if anything pops up.
