Sorry. Not the exciting kind. Just a super quick logistical update for those of you waiting to hear...
We saw the medical oncologist yesterday.
Current Plan of Attack 👊🏻 :
• Paul’s bowel resection surgery scheduled for Jan 18.
• Treatment (Octreotide injections) will start 4 weeks after surgery.
• Paul will get a scan six months after starting treatment, and it is sounding like that will be the soonest that we will know how the tumors are or aren't responding to the treatment.
• Basically a “wait and see” approach, treatment-wise. (NOT easy for two complete control freaks like us!)
• Still waiting on results from is 5-HIAA test, which will determine if his tumors are "functional" or "non-functional." (See Paul's previous post for a semi-explanation.)
• We have an appointment with another oncologist next week for another opinion.
• I also just scheduled an appointment with another highly renowned oncologist who specializes in Neuroendocrine Cancer, just to be sure we are on the right treatment path. Seeing him Jan 3rd. Very looking forward to this one! As much as one can "look forward" to an oncology appointment 🙃.
• We are EXHAUSTED. 🤯 That is all.

elen rososevelt quote. I hope and pray you and paul mystery turns out a miracle and blessing.
Thank you for the update. You both are in my prayers always.
You are constantly in my thoughts. My neighbor was just given a clean bill of health after a year or so of fighting colon cancer. It’s an increasingly common outcome. You will beat this!
Thank you for the update. My family and I are praying for you and Paul everyday!
Thank you Dayna for the update I’m praying for you and Paul every day !! You and Paul stay strong and if y’all needs anything I’m here. God bless both of you.
